Administrative Law and Administrative Science

Administrative law, administrative science, public administration

The research team and its members deal with legal practices in public administration, whether state or local government. They are able to address basic and applied contract research tasks, including specific expert outputs in the field of public administration, organisational structures in public administration, etc. Practical, applied outputs, in addition to empirical research in specific areas of public administration, may take the form of proposals for specific legislative proposals (e.g. draft laws, implementing decrees, local legislation – ordinances and regulations of municipalities and regions, internal regulations), possibly expert assessments. They are able to analyse decision-making activities in public administration, seek solutions to shortcomings in the activities of administrative bodies at various levels. Recommendations may be focused primarily on the legal aspect of decision-making processes, i.e. in particular on procedures that, as a result of our findings, should be able to avoid violations of procedural rules. Speeding up and improving the quality of decision-making processes on the basis of the analysis and recommendations made may lead to a more efficient use of the costs spent on these official activities, but also to a reduction in the grounds for actions brought before administrative courts against decisions and any other results of public administration procedures.
